Important Mueller Center Usage Information

     There are a number of important rules and guidelines to follow when using the Mueller Center. The purpose of the established guidelines is to keep the Mueller Center safe and fun environment for all of its constituents. Please adhere by the following:

• Upon entering the facility, have your Rensselaer ID in-hand. You will need a valid RPI proximaty card.
• A validated Rensselaer ID is required each time you enter the facility.

     The facilities are open to all RPI students, staff, and faculty. Alumni and others must be a member of the "Let's Go Red" boster club. To see about joining, go to their site.

• NO JEANS are allowed to be worn while exercising. The material and affixations (i.e., such as rivets) can rip the leather or otherwise damage the equipment.
• SHIRTS are required while using the facility.
• NO SANDALS or open-toed footwear is permitted near the machines. Please wear the proper athletic footwear, such as sneakers.
• During the winter months and during rainy weather, please bring a second pair of sneakers with you. There are areas for you to change your shoes as well as storage areas for you to place your items in during your workout.
• Upon completing a workout on a machine, please take the time to wipe it off with the paper towels and spray bottles. For your convenience, these items are located throughout the facility. There are also garbage cans around to dispose of your waste.
• RE-RACK your weights. Remove the plates from all bars and machines when you have completed your desired sets. It is inconsiderate to leave weights on any machine. The person after you may not be able to remove the weights that you were using.

     If you can follow these simple rules and guidelines, it will help keep the Mueller Center a fun and enjoyable facility for all its users.

Guest Policy

     In conjunction with the guest policy established during the 1999-2000 academic year, the Mueller Center allows Rensselaer students, faculty and staff to bring guests with them to the facility at any given time.

• STUDENTS: May bring three (3) free guests per semester. After three (3), there is a $3 charge per guest per day.
• FACULTY & STAFF: May bring three (3) free guests per semester. After three (3) guests, there is a $5 charge per guest per day.

What to do when you are bringing a guest?

• When you enter the Mueller Center, stop at the Front Desk with your valid Rensselaer ID.
• Tell the representative that you are signing in a guest. You and your guest will be required to sign in and fill out the necessary forms:

  • After signing in, please feel free to use the facility. Remember, you are responsible for your guest and must obey the established rules and guidelines.
